Mrs. Pérez-Román’s practice focuses on complex commercial and civil litigation. During her 25-year legal career, she has developed significant experience in commercial and contractual litigation in both State and Federal Courts. Presently, her practice mainly consists of insurance matters.
Before joining Coto & Associates, Mrs. Pérez-Román’s career was devoted to civil litigation, including claims under the Puerto Rico Dealer’s Act (Law 75), the Puerto Rico Sales Representatives Act (Law 21), and the Petroleum Marketing Practice Act (PMPA). She also handled product liability claims as a former member of McDonald’s Puerto Rico Litigation team. Furthermore, Mrs. Pérez-Román represented the University of Puerto Rico’s medical system in medical malpractice lawsuits.
