Ms. Santiago-Rivera’s areas of practice are commercial and civil litigation as well as corporate governance.
Before joining Coto & Associates, Ms. Santiago-Rivera collaborated in different practice areas such as commercial law, civil litigation, and tort claims.
While in law school, she was Writer and Editor of the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico’s Law Review and worked as a pro-bono law clerk for Sociedad para Asistencia Legal de Puerto Rico. She is the author of the article ¿Con quién se queda el perro?: Un análisis de la guarda de animales en caso de separación o divorcio en Puerto Rico?
Ms. Santiago-Rivera was elected in 2016 as Municipal Legislator for the Municipality of Morovis, Puerto Rico. She worked directly in the municipal public policy making process. Currently, she presides the Government, Federal Affairs, and Land Ordinance Committee, and is a member of the Nomination, Ethics, Regulations, and Judiciary Committee.
